Kara has 10+ years of professional marketing experience, spanning from advertising to brand management. She has spent the last 3 years of her career in the Food & Beverage industry where she was a former associate brand manager at KFC US and now is a strategy manager at Starbucks. She launched KFC’s first signature beverage, MTN Dew Sweet Lightning, and the KFC Chicken Sandwich during the Sandwich Wars sparked by Popeyes in 2019. She now leads integrated product strategy across beverage, food, and lobby at Starbucks, supporting the entire enterprise. Kara is passionate about bringing relevant products that spark joy in customers’ lives. Throughout her career she has been passionate about helping the next generation of marketers navigate ‘the game’ of corporate america. She has led young professional groups, been nationally cited in FORBES, and named ‘40 people to know’ in her local communities.
