Paul Tepfenhart is the Director of Grocery Retail at Google Cloud. Paul is responsible for shaping our Global Grocery Retail strategy. Prior to Google, Paul has extensive experience in retail, focused primarily on omnichannel commerce and innovation. Most recently, Paul was with HEB where he served as the SVP of Omnichannel Retail and Emerging Technology. During his nine year tenure at HEB, Paul built the digital business from inception to a multi-billion dollar business and created the Retail Innovation Lab to incubate the store of the future technologies. Paul’s teams were responsible for leading HEB/Central Market into the digital commerce age and for building the company’s adoption of digital solutions across all customer interactions. Prior to joining HEB, Paul was Sr. Director of Multichannel Retail at Walmart where his teams were responsible for the pilot and expansion of many programs we all use today such as home delivery and curbside, alternate pickup, and pickup today. Paul began his career with Procter and Gamble leading brands such as Folgers, Sunny Delight and Pringles.
