Sean Wachsman is the Founder of Liminal Brands, a fractional partner and brand consultancy specializing in Brand Strategy and Go-To-Marketing planning whose mission is simple: help early stage and emerging food & beverage CPG brands better navigate building the plane while it’s flying.
With 25+ years of experience across legacy, emerging and disruptive food & beverage brands, Sean sees himself as a consigliere and optimistic rebel who helps companies lay the foundation for sustainable, responsible growth.
Most recently, Sean served as VP of Strategy & (D)Analytics at Dan-O’s Seasoning, where he helped the Bain Insurgent Brand evolve from being a gut-led organization to data and insight-driven one. His work spanned a transition to an omnichannel strategy, ecommerce, performance analytics, consumer insights, and innovation, among other areas. This included driving the key levers in attracting, converting, and retaining audiences across the consumer journey.
Prior to Dan-O’s, Sean spent nearly two decades at Brown-Forman, driving growth for the Jack Daniel’s Family of Brands, Chambord, and Slane Irish Whiskey, among other brands. He’s led initiatives that turned around stagnant brands, launched new ones to national acclaim, and built foundational strategies to drive long-term growth across channels.
Prior to joining Brown-Forman, he worked for global PR agencies Burson-Marsteller and Porter Novelli working on PR initiatives for the Miller Brewing Company, McDonald’s, Gatorade, and numerous former P&G food & beverage brands.
Beyond his professional work, Sean seeks to make Louisville a more equitable community through his numerous executive non-profit board positions over the years across the black and local immigrant communities focusing on entrepreneurship, creativity, microfinance and urban agriculture. Currently, Sean works on a biodynamic farm to gain deeper knowledge on regenerative agriculture and the food system.
Sean lives in Louisville, KY with his wife, two teenagers and their cuddly bully dog Phoenix.
