Kenji Gjovig

VP eCommerce Business Albertsons

Kenji Gjovig is the VP of eCommerce Business for Albertsons Companies.  In this role he oversees the Marketing, Merchandising, and Catalog functions for eCommerce for all Albertsons’ banners across the US.  He has an amazing team based in Pleasanton, CA that is radically changing the way Albertsons partners with Suppliers to drive significant growth in sales and customer loyalty in eCommerce.

Kenji joined Albertsons in 2019.  Prior to this Kenji was a Partner in eCommerce at The Partnering Group, a retail and consumer goods consultancy.  Previously he was the VP of Partnerships & Business Development at Content Analytics, the leader in eCommerce analytics and content management.  Kenji spent 7 years at Walmart in various merchandising roles at Sam’s Club and Walmart.com including Buying an $800M category and leading Supplier Collaboration programs.  He also served in the US Navy’s submarine force for 7 years.

Kenji lives in a Half Moon Bay, CA, a suburb of San Francisco with his wife Bonnie and 4 children.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in Oceanography from the US Naval Academy and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
