Steve Chasen is the Vice-President of Channel and Customer Marketing for Campari America, the US-based arm of the world’s 6th largest spirits company. He joined the company in 2016 and was appointed to the Management Committee in May of 2017. In his role Steve manages a best-in-class and growing team of 36, who are responsible for commercializing brand vision and driving commercial strategy through the organization. Steve was responsible for crafting Campari America’s initial Trade Marketing vision and built the award-winning department from the ground up.
Steve has worked closely with the executive team to lead the creation of the company’s customer and channel strategy. It is focused in three main areas: the development of strong national, channel-based brand programming, the creation of commercially focused channel strategies & tactics, including e-commerce, as well as a focus on trade engagement through ambassadors, education and outreach. All of this is supported with a dedication to conversion and ROI while delivering efficiencies across the portfolio.
Prior to joining Campari, Steve spent 10 years in various roles at Pernod Ricard, the world’s second largest drinks company. Most recently, he was the Director of Trade Marketing for On-Premise. He was part of the team that built the original Trade Marketing function at Pernod Ricard USA and was responsible for a variety of best-in-class initiatives within the spirts industry while there.
Steve graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Business and Law. He lives in New York City, where he was born and raised, with his wife and two children.
